INTRODUCING YOUR UTTTC 2023-2024 PRESIDIUM
Thank you for voting in the 2023-2024 Presidium Election! This year, 19 members cast their vote, which marked a significant increase in voter turnout, compared with the pre-pandemic era and last year. In the past in-person elections, only less than 10 members would be present at our end-of-year celebration and election.
This year, we have 3 candidates this year and all candidates are running for both the President and the Vice-President, i.e. we have an uncontested election for the 3 Presidium positions. The election will be solely used to determine the top 2 candidates who would be elected as the club Co-Presidents. and the third-place candidate, if obtained over 50% of votes cast, would be elected as the club Vice-President.
Members were allowed to choose UP TO TWO (2) candidates that one would like to elect as the Club Co-Presidents. Therefore, the total percentage of votes may exceed 100%.
THE RESULTS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
1st Place: Luna Li, 15 votes out of 19 in total (78.9%).
2nd Place: Hanyi Wu, 12 votes out of 19 in total (63.2%).
3rd Place: Kevin Yang, 11 votes out of 19 in total (57.9%).
Therefore, Luna Li and Hanyi Wu have been elected as Co-Presidents for 2023-2024. And Kevin Yang has been elected as the Vice-President for 2023-2024. Congratulations!

Recruitment for other Exec Team members for the 2023-24 academic year is going on right now! Most positions do not require previous experience.

The current caretaker team and the Presidium-elect will review all applications on an ongoing basis during and after the final exam period. We are expecting all applicants would get a response by early May.
Again, it was a very difficult year for us to recover from the hit by the pandemic by attempting full operation in both competitive and recreational wings. And we are really grateful for your patience and support! It is everyone’s support that helped us to have a great performance as qualified for NCTTA National Tournament, and we are happy to embrace the new start of the monthly intramural tournament program this year! We hope you are all doing well and staying healthy. Stay tuned to us as we’ll pong again after the finals! (or in the Fall term if you’ll leave Toronto for summer!)

Most of these positions are open to applicants who are interested in taking on the responsibilities WITHOUT requiring previous experience.

2. Each applicant can apply for a maximum of two positions. If you would like to apply for a second position, please make sure you submit a separate form response and prepare your candidate statement accordingly.
